TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. This engagement is made purely contractual basis.
2. Such contractual engagement does not confer any rig ht for regular absorption is future.
3. The contractual engagement may be terminated at any time by giving 14 days notice or if any information arrives through RRB panel or thorough any transfer from any other place whichever is earlier. Once the selected candidate’s service is terminated by the Railway Administration he/she will not be considered for re-engagement against any vacancy over Eastern Railway.
4. The number of post for a particular category may be changed due to unforeseen circumstances.
5. The selected candidates have to accept posting in that specific jurisdiction (i.e. Railway Divisional/Unit jurisdiction) from where he/she is attending for walk-in-interview and no request for change of posting will be entertained in any circumstances.
6. 05 (five) years age relaxation for SC/ST and 03 (three) years for OBC candidates.
7. The staff engaged on contractual basis is not eligible for Railway Passes/PTOs except on administrative ground.
8. The remuneration as indicated above against each category will be subject to the condition that no Govt. Accommodation is provided daily rate amount will be deducted from monthly remuneration for absence from duty on the principle of “ NO WORK NO PAY”.
9. The candidates must bring with them all certificates/mark sheets / testimonials etc. including caste cer tificate (if any) IN ORIGINAL as well as one set of photo copy of the same duly attested by a gazetted Officer and two Passport size Photographs.
10. In the event of submission of any misrepresentation /wrong declaration or information/fake certificate/ fake testimonials etc. the candidature of the concerned applicant will be cancelled and subsequently he/she will be liable to be under Govt. Of India’s law in force.

Government International Fellowships for Young scientists

Government International Fellowships for Young scientists (12 posts), Senior scientists (6 posts) - up to US$ 200 per day


The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), New Delhi, the apex body in India for the formulation, coordination and promotion of biomedical research, is one of the oldest medical research bodies in the world. As early as in 1911, the Government of India set up the Indian Research Fund Association (IRFA) with the specific objective of sponsoring and coordinating medical research in the country. After independence, several important changes were made in the organisation and the activities of the IRFA. It was redesignated in 1949 as the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) with considerably expanded scope of functions.
The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) invites applications from Indian biomedical scientists for the international fellowships for the year 2016-17.

Number of fellowships: Young scientists-12; Senior scientists-6
Duration: 3-6 months for young scientists and 10-15 days for senior scientists
Eligibility:
1. The applicant should be a citizen of India and working in the country.
2. The applicant should possess an M.D/Ph.D degree with at least three years teaching/research experience for Young Scientists and fifteen years for Senior Scientists in a recognized Institute after obtaining the requisite qualification.
3. Age:  Below 45 years for young scientists Below 57 years for senior scientists.
4. The applicant should be employed in a regular position in a recognized Biomedical/ Research/ Health Institution.
5. The application should be forwarded by the Employer/Head of the Institution with a statement that the candidate will be considered as a full time employee of the Institution during the period of his/her fellowship.
6. The applicant should submit a letter of acceptance from the host Institute where he/she proposes to work during the fellowship.
7. The applicant should submit a concrete plan of training pertaining to the project submitted for availing the fellowship.
Financial support:
Young Scientists:
- US$ 3000 per month which includes accommodation and other expenses.
- Return economy class excursion airfare (by Air India).
- Contingency grant of maximum of Rs. 20,000/- (which includes the cost of visa, taxi charges from place of duty to airport and back, overseas mediclaim insurance expenses on submission of original receipts/bills on return)
Senior Scientists:
- US$ 200 per day (including US$ 75 as per diem and up to US$ 125 for accommodation expenses, subject to a maximum of US$ 3000 for entire duration of stay).
- Return economy class excursion airfare (by Air India ).
- Contingency grant of maximum of Rs.20,000/- (which includes the cost of visa, taxi charges from place of duty to airport and back, overseas mediclaim insurance expenses on submission of original receipts/bills on return)
SELECTION CRITERIA
Screening of applications will be done at the International Health Division, ICMR and the short listed candidates will be considered by the selection committee for awarding the fellowship.
The selection of the candidate will be based on the evaluation of the merit of the candidate and the training needs in the field of Biomedical research by a Committee of eminent scientists.

· The applicant should submit a letter of acceptance from the foreign Institute where   he/she proposes to work along with a concrete plan of training/research work to be undertaken during the fellowship 
· Recommendation by the Head of the parent organization/ institute is essential

The University is going to recruit fourteen Research Fellows in various Science & Engineering subjects under DST-GOI funded PURSE- II Project. A walk-in interview will be held in the office of the Head of the Departments and Director of the School at Jadavpur University on 16th February 2016 at 12:00 noon for the following posts to the department/schools under the supervision of Head of the Department and Director of the School.
